Well, who knew the "Little Orphan
Billie" appearance in Bill D. Cat's autobiography book was a
reference to an earlier strip? He actually did this...who knew?
He's also talking again, which always looks weird. Later on, when
Bill's character was firmly established, Berke knew it just
wasn't funny if a wild animal like Bill could say more than just
"Ack." The last full sentence spoken by Bill was in
1985, when he appeared in court and eloquently commented
"Say, you don't suppose the Jury Box is anything like a
litter box, do you?"
