The sixteenth box brought a welcome departure from the madness found in the other boxes - a simple toy teddy bear. Something for the Mare Winninghams I-III to fight over on Christmas morning. Actually, because the size scale of the previous animals isn't quite true-to-life, it's entirely possible that this is supposed to be a real bear. I really hope so, because it'd be the first bear small enough for Mare Winningham to defeat in a death match.
Just so you understand the size of these toys, here's the bear next to a quarter. (note: quarter not included with Playmobil advent calendar) The bear seems to change colors in every picture I take of it, alternating in various stages of brown all the way up to light yellow. It's a magic bear! Magic comes in all shapes and sizes, and even in insipid sixteen-dollar toy calendars. What will tomorrow bring? We'll soon find out!
