If this is a real Power Rangers battle scene, then you're supposed to miss Mars by 4 feet when you attack him. At least going by the original series, I have no idea if things have changed with Mighty Morphin Time Power Force Jungle Squad Dinosaur Rangers, or whatever installment they're currently trying to milk to death.

I'm not dead. I turned out to be an evil MEGASUPERSPACEULTRAFALCONGNARLYZORD LORD from a distant planet who plans to conquer the Power Rangers by taking away their stock reels of Japanese robot fights from the 60's, so that they have nothing to piece the show together with.
