We wondered where in the hell the Cookie Crunch cop and robbers were..
They still make this cereal? The latest commercial I remember was the cop and the robber was gone, but the dog was still there shouting COOOOOOOOOOOOOOKIE CRISP! It was okay for a while, but then it just got annoying.

Snap, Crackle, and Pop are cool though.

But I really don't like that bee from Honey Nut Cheerios, especially around Christmas time. Leave Scrooge alone! If I was scrooge, I'd hit that bee with a swatter then flick it out the window.

The Honey Comb furball is funny. He makes me laugh.

I think that Apple Jacks should taste like apple....
I could probably write a novel why I hate these commercials.

Remember when Cinnamoun Toast Crunch had 3 chefs as their mascot? Kinda like a rip-off to Snap, Crackle, and Pop

I haven't even seen Wendell since 1996...he gradually faded away. They've had their "taste you can see" campaign for a decade now; it's been highly successful and pretty much changed the face of ceral advertising; many cereals switched from cartoon characters to pure live-action spots after they did it. But in my opinion, they could have a SLUG for a mascot and still sell that cereal. Who doesn't love Cinnamon Toast Crunch? Nobody, that's who.

Have you ever noticed that when they're trying to sell a cereal with flavor in it to grownups, no matter what it is, they always have the same campaign? "Don't be embarrassed, many adults eat this stuff" is what they say for everything. I find those ads annoying. Anyone who's too afraid to eat something that's good just because they ate it as a kid is probably not smart enough to operate an elevator. Are there really that many of them?

Are there really that many of them?

The demograph that is all people who think they are "too mature" for things such as Chicken Nuggets, cereals that don't taste like crap, and anything with bright colors is actually a very large demograph.

Let that be a note to you, never grow up, "Maturity is knowing when to be immature" - unknown.

I'm going to have to agree with Mars. It was when the first "the taste you can see" commercials for Cinnamon Toast Crunch appeared(I don't think they been around for a decade though), cereal commercials have shown more live action commercials, instead of the cartoon mascots for the cereals. The cartoon mascots for the cereals are still around, but they rarely are in the commercials now(except for Snap, Crackle, Pop). A very good example of this is last years Corn Flakes commercial has a real rooster in the commercial instead of the famous cartoon rooster(I forgot his name though.)

whatever happen to Sugar Bear and his golden crisps? I dont even see commercials for it anymore. I was watching Invasion of the Neptune Men today on my taped MST3K, and Mike did an impression of Sugar Bear "I just cant get enough of my sugar crisps."

Sugar Bear is still around. It just that there hasn't been a Golden Crisps commercial in a few years. Golden Crisps are still around though.

Sugar Bear is the bear that you talking about Austin. About Granny(who I believe was voiced by June Foray)is only on the back of the Golden Crisps boxes. By like I said there hasn't been a Golden Crisps commercial in a few years, but Golden Crisps is still around.

They also changed the Cookie Crisp commercials as well. It's just Chip the dog using his "COOOOOOOOOOKIE CRISP" howl. They don't have Cookie Crook or that officer anymore.

Plus, in the first commercial to use this change, the officer was a bad guy! And anyone remember those Soggies in the earlier Cap'n Crunch commercials?

Ahh, I was just about to mention the Cookie Crisp mascots, but the last post beat me to it.

Anyway, anyone remember the Cocoa Krispies monkey.

"Cocoa Krispies so chocolatey, everybody wants my Cocoa Krispies"

He sang that and I'm not sure why I remember that song.
And also I vaguely remember a commercial with a bunch of cereal mascots (or jungle animals) chasing after the monkey while he sang that song swinging from tree to tree.
It had to be one of the best cereal commercials ever. But the Cocoa Monkey was kind of just another rip-off of a cereal mascot wanting cereal or someone wanting a cereal mascot's cereal.

And has anyone mentioned the Cuckoo the Cocoa Puffs mascot? Its hard to forget him. Really annoying, but I eat a lot of chocolate cereals and know their mascots.
From: Critical Overdrive | Posted: 5/9/2003 8:55:02 PM | Message Detail
The Cocoa Krispies monkey is still the mascot for the cereal. It's just that there has been a commercial for Cocoa Krispies(Cocoa Krispies is still around though). As Sunny(the Cocoa Puffs mascot), he still around. But they have been showing the same Cocoa Puffs commercial for almost a year.
