Not sure about that. But, just hope for the best of luck I guess.
I think there's an FAQ about this.
I haven't had much time to look lately.
Don't get frustrated, this is GameFAQs after all.

<3 FF9, probably my favorite. I feel like playing it now, but I'm planning on finishing FFX. Then, I'm gonna try and go through Motehr 3 again. Gonna write a guide.

My FF Rankings (favorite to least favorite):

FF9
FFX
FF6
FF7
FF8
FF4
FF1
FF2

Hm. I didn't fully "get" 8, so I'm gonna try it again. 6... doesn't do something for me, I can't put my finger on it. The translation is just awful. I think that's it. I dunno. I thought it offered too MUCH freedom. 7... villain sucks, characters annoy me, but it's ok. I really like 10 for some reason.

Anyways, I think the opposite of you, AV. I loved the beginning hours, and thought the game got worse as it went on. It just wasn't as interesting or fun in Disc 2 and 3. It lost the fantasy feel, and, well, I just just didn't like the later parts much. I also hated the story near the end. It started to become too hard to follow. I didn't like the way they revealed it, and I got lost for some reason. Plus, the last boss was a "WTF". But I absolutely love the game.

Oh, and Lindblum has to be my favorite town in any game ever.

As a matter of fact, delete that. I don't know why the **** you put it in my topic, but it reminded me of that scene. I can read faster than I can scroll.

My instructions for the topic were quite clear, there was no reason to break them just to make a dead-end one-line comment.

Not a huge deal, just irked me.

I'm at 5 or 6 hours now in the game. Found two Chocographs (more than I ever did in my first playthrough), and actually opened up one of them. Have about 60 points in the Chocobo game. Netted lets of money, equipment, and other stuff doing so. Got Quina, caught 4 frogs with it, don't know what that's all about.

Leveling up my abilities takes a bit too long, but whatever.

I've been having fun with it, surprisingly.

Can anyone point me to a Blue Magic checklist that tells me the enemies and their locations in sequence? The GameFAQs one lists them alphabetically, that's not helpful for me.

Also I want a breakdown of the card system. What the hell do those four numbers mean, and how does the game arrive at the large number that appears when you enter card combat?

I've never been too good at Tetra Master.
I actually liked Triple Triad better.
As for the four numbers. They indicate what level group the card is in. It's hard to win early in the game but later on, it will get easier.
As for the combat, it really depends on the card.
Sometimes, even if your number was lower, you can still win. The more arrows on your card, the better your chances of recovering if you lose a card battle.
Just card battle your own card and win.

Yea, I looked in a FAQ to find what the four digits mean. They apparently mean nothing, because all of my cards have nothing but 0s, but then when they get in a matchup it'll be 15 vs 8 or something like that. Is there any way to predict what that big number will be? I'm about ready to give up on Tetra Master. Triple Triad ftw.

Final Fantasy IX: Disc 2 - ~9 hours

The game is really starting to pick up. I have lots of equipment to juggle to attain my abilities. Experiencing Choco H&C for the first time is a fun and rewarding time drain. Enjoying my first instances of character seperation, enjoying the way the story is coming together. I had a lot to say before, but now I don't even remember. Sorry, guys.

Maximo: Ghosts to Glory

Finished the first level with 87% mastery, then Coffin Canyon with 93% mastery. 8% game completion, 7% game mastery, in about half an hour of play.

Does anyone know if checkpoints count as permanent saves, or can I only turn the game off after spending 100 coins on a save at the hub?

Excellent game, loving the mechanics even more than last time and enjoying the challenge (so far).

Final Fantasy IX: ~19 hours

How the hell did my last file take 63 hours???

Anyway, just hit Disc 3. Have all my party members. Sticking with Zidane, Vivi, Garnet, Amarant. Still haven't rejoined with Steiner or Freya, but I expect that to happen soon.

As I remembered, the last part of Disc 2 is kind of crappy, except for the last 25 minutes, which are SOOOOO AWESOME. This game really does draw out emotion. Great characterization, great plot, the total opposite of what I felt a few years ago.

So glad I replayed it. I'm starting to get pumped about my upcoming FF8 replay.

Iifa Tree and Conde Petit are bubbling with personality, and then you are back to Lindblum and Alexandria.

I think Treno (both times) and the second half of Disc 3 are the draggiest/listless parts of the game.

Sands of Time is behind Stranger's Wrath and Mega Man ZX on my list of games to play. And FF8, but that'll be in Sandra's room.

Might as well tell my gameplan for next semester: PS2 is FF8box in Sandra's room, will have Cube and XBox in my room, my roommate will have his PS2. Not sure if I'll bring my plethora of unplayed PSone/2 games down to my room. Probably not, so I can flush out my Cube and XBox backlogs (sans Paper Mario 2, which will have to wait until after FF8 most likey... but that puts it in the FF12 and FF3 zone...).

Hmph.
