I don't own a 360 and haven't actually played Dead Rising, but I was wondering how it is aesthetically as a zombie game. The commercials I've seen for it were all bright and colourful, and didn't really give me that horrifying look. Is the game more frightening than that, and if not, do you think it really suffers from too much colour? --- The ZSB: It's not about you, or me. The game is not really frightening at all. If anything, it's more of a parody of a zombie game than an actual zombie game. --- Hopefully I don't get modded. |

It always struck me as a Sandbox genre game where everyone around you was trying to kill you, instead of just trying to go about their lives. Not really creepy (except for the natural creepiness zombies get for being zombies), but a kind of survival game anyway. --- Frank the Perv says: I really like hard things in my ass. |

Yes, the original. It's a mild playthrough, nothing dedicated. As for DR, the zombies spew out tons of thick dark blood, and you can dismember them in a variety of ways. The environments are colorful, but there's tenseness to the game and the violence is certainly graphic. I like to do playthroughs like that too, especially with NES games. Just playing Metroid casually and not really worrying about grabbing everything made the game more enjoyable (I only missed one Missle Tank, actually. It was this one where you needed to execute some weird bomb jump...). Same with Zelda. I got to Dungeon 7. I need to finish the game... --- MOTHER 3 I was watching Blue's Clues and for a single frame, it flashed "KILL ALL THE MINORITIES" -King_Zog |
