Well, it's a good thing she got to you first. What did you mean by worked out? Are you going to just be friends now, or did something else happen? --- Saturn Valley Online. An Earthbound MMORPG in the works... http://svo.dd-lan.be |
Tithenion Posted 3/5/2007 1:10:38 AM message detail |
I never expected even for a second that anything more than us being friends would happen. That's part of what I meant by it being "worked out". Last year, she had hip surgery and when I tried to be nice and help her feel better by giving her a hug, it backfired on me. I guess that (plus maybe other things) gave her the wrong idea. I never treid to push it anymore after she told me that she wasn't interested, but apparently she thought so. I explained it all though and everything is alright now as far as being friends. I didn't get to talk to her for very long today, but that was alright since I was actually kinda shocked by what happened and was somewhat at a loss for words. Hopefully it won't take too long for things to get back to how they used to be, or better. --- Josh... something about your arms makes me crazy pointy. - Peace___Frog's gf //O.W.N.A.G.E.// |
MrManNo1 Posted 3/5/2007 1:17:06 AM message detail |
Hopefully it won't take too long for things to get back to how they used to be, or better. Be careful with that "or better". If you push just a little, tiny bit too hard, everything you've worked to regain might collapse on itself. Trust me, this one I know from personal experience. One stupid statement can ruin a relationship like this, so be very careful in what you say. And note that for a lot of girls, once a guy enters the "friend" group, there's a good chance he won't grow beyond that group. You may get lucky and have an exception, but you have to work very, very carefully. I would highly recommend moving on. --- Saturn Valley Online. I know it's supposed to be depressing in here, but, um, it's actually been working out real nicely with this girl I've seen a couple times recently. Random question, what would be a simple birthday present for a girl you've really just recently met/sort of been seeing? I mean, we've grabbed a few small meals (I actually haven't even officially bought her dinner yet) and I've had her come with me to a couple parties the past few weekends...but like by no means are we going out or anything. So what should I get her? (her b-day is a week from today) --- "I vote Warlock for president..."~Mac "Warlock, you're my savior."~Ellimist-Tåß |
MrManNo1 Posted 3/5/2007 11:48:38 AM message detail |
Get her something related to what she loves, but don't spend massive amounts of money. Or, you could get her something nice and downplay how expensive it was. Not sure what response you're going for, actually. --- Saturn Valley Online. An Earthbound MMORPG in the works... http://svo.dd-lan.be |

I dunno, is there like a pre-boyfriend type gift out there? 'Cause I feel like that's where this is heading... But yeah, I guess my question is real vague, isn't it? Oh well, I figure it out. --- "I vote Warlock for president..."~Mac "Warlock, you're my savior."~Ellimist-Tåß |

I'm going to bump this fellow because I've grown used to seeing him on the board. Again, HoT holds the line. I suppose if the situation arose I would confess my Lass #2 situation to a mutual friend, and yet I don't seek it out. I'm starting to think, however, that perhaps I should, for the sheer logical reason that if I am to engage in this whole courtship dealie at all, it's probably going to be here, at school, among friends who can help me [as opposed to out in the 'real world' after I graduate, which I'm not looking forward to in general]. Upon reflection, I can see that the clock is ticking. --- {Board 548} What is there left to say?{åß} |

I don't remember if I've said anything about Jess lately, but it's gone from awkward to absolutely nothing. I can't even get enough courage/motivation to IM her once in a while. BUT. I went out with a few friends last night, Katie included, to see 300. I had to hit the washroom, so the other three got seats before me, and at first I was at the end, then my friend Brad, then Katie, then her friend Julie. Katie and I made a few comments about the movie across brad, and so he offered to switch seats so 'us ladies could chat'. I accepted, and when I sat down in my new place, Katie quietly said "yay" and clapped her hands, then shifted so she was leaning towards me. I kinda mentally shrugged, and did the same so our arms were touching, which led to fingers touching then holding hands, then her holding my arm and her resting her head on my shoulder off and on for the rest of the movie. I gotta tell you, having both the kind of adrenelin from action and the kind from womanly contact is awesome. The rest of the evening after the movie just had the four of us hanging out first at a coffee place then at a park with swings and stuff, with repeated but not continuous contact between me and Katie. Oh, and Brad showed us his ass. *thumbs up* --- Final Twilight 1100 {548} |

So, you guys remember Jackie, the girl that started this whole thing? She got married a little while back, maybe a month ago, and might be pregnant. Not by me. Unfortunately/Fortunately, depending how you look at it. Everything else is basically the same, other than another 13 y'old maybe having the hots for me. Remember all those sweet things my boyfriend did about which I told stories? Hmm. My SO has been acting weird for a couple weeks, and it really amped up this past Wednesday or Thursday. We used to be really open to telling each other stuff, whether we were worried or pissed or the other person was being a jerk, etc. We'd talk it out and that would be that. Starting last Wednesday, he's gotten really sullen and withdrawn and won't talk to me. On Easter, I knew he was bummed because he wasn't going home to visit his family and eat these ham pies that his grandmother always makes, so I called his mom and got the recipe. Those stupid things took three ****ing hours to make and then another hour to bake, and when they were done he took a couple bites and said, "Eh, there aren't as good as my family's." I waited a beat and then said, "Well, you're welcome," and walked off. I didn't even know what to do. Later Sunday evening, he told me he was going out of town Thursday through Sunday. I was like, "Oh okay, where are you going?" I didn't think I sounded demanding, but evidently it's none of my business, according to him. It's so bizarre that I can't even react. On the upside, I got a totally awesome apartment on Friday. I move in at the end of May and I can't wait. I wish I could provide something insightful about what was going on with him shortly before he started acting weird, but I honestly can't think of anything out of the ordinary. He snapped out of it when he mentioned stuff about movers in May and I said, "What makes you think I want you to live with me when you're acting this way?" Even more disturbing, he knew exactly what I was talking about because he didn't ask me what I meant, he just started being really nice after that. He did tell me where he was going this weekend (Florida with some buddies, thought I'm not sure I'm put at ease by that at all). --- ¤¤ ¸.·*´¨) ¸.·*`¨) (¸.·´ ¤(¸.·` ¤SaiyanGirl |
