*phew* Beat Ready Steady Go on Hard on my second try. Nice. I think JJF is a tiny bit harder, but they're both insane. JJF has those annoying clumps of notes, and RSG has tight lines of them. So far, I kinda like Ouendan's soundtrack better, but that might just be because I've played EBA's to death. I really hope iNis makes an "International" game, with cheer squads and songs from different countries. I might go blind from the awesome if that happened. I mean, EBA outsold friggin GTA. And my parents got me way too many games this year. It's gonna take me at least till next Christmas to get through all of these. T_T I'm loving the non-game presents I got this year a lot, though. I got these really awesome headphones that I promptly tried out with Ouendan. --- MOTHER 3 (º< i have the solution to your problem just lisen carefu*firmware update* -Mamonsoti Djinn |

http://www.1up.com/do/feature?pager.offset=0&cId=3156060 This article is great. It's a Christmas present list for members of gaming industry, and it's pretty damn harsh at times (just look at the first one - a one-year Xbox Live Gold subscription to Phil Harrison of Sony so he can see how online gaming is supposed to work) - and it's great. Oh, and for the triple post - that "WII ROX" spelled out in PS3 pic is from a woot.com sale of PS3s. It's completely hilarious: http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/ps3/woot-ps3soh-wait-223783.php This is the sales pitch they used with the PS3: So, hey, check it out: there's this awesome new gaming system that we just can't stop playing. Too bad it's so hard to find in stores - we guess they just didn't make enough of them. It's called the Nintendo Wii, and holy mother of Zelda, is it ever a blast. If the Wii is cool with polygamy, we might ask it to marry us. The controller - so easy! No more intricate push-this-twice, pull-that-three-times trickery, just easy waves of the hand. The console - so cute! It actually makes our gaming room look better, unlike the bulky, ugly consoles we could mention. How does Nintendo keep the price so low on that thing, anyway? And the games, good Lord, the games! Not to mention those adorable avatars. We've already created virtual versions of the entire staff, so we can beat each other virtually-bloody instead of actually-bloody, like we usually do. The only problem is that none of the nose options are as big as Jason's actual nose. But that's a minor quibble. In fact, we love the Wii so much, we want to give a Wii to everybody on our payroll. To fund this Wii-for-the-People program, we're selling this Sony PlayStation 3. The SIXAXIS wireless controller is basically the same complicated gazillion-button-style controller you know from past PS models, but at least you won't be fighting Grandma for gaming time. Along with the usual roster of ho-hum games, the PS3 can play CDs, DVDs, and Blu-Ray discs, and the 20GB hard drive can store music, videos, and music videos. It's certainly, er, rather full-figured, for those of you who want a lot of heft for your money. And its HDMI capabilities give you polygons and frames-per-second out the wazoo, if you prefer that stuff to having fun. Best of all, for every PS3 you buy, we can buy Wiis for two of our employees. So when you get frustrated by those intricate combo-button moves, or bored by the underwhelming game offerings for the PS3, keep the spirit of the season in mind. Remember all those happy Woot staffers whose lives have been changed by their super-fun Nintendo Wiis, paid for by you. Heartwarming, isn't it? ...every unit still sold in under 5 minutes. >_< --- XBL Gamertag: XCTarantula | Games: Test Drive Unlimited, Saints Row, Table Tennis Currently Playing - Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Viva Piñata, Gears of War |

WTF, I can't beat RSG again. ;o_0 I just realized how good I must have been doing when I aced it. For those curious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtQDOQmcaTM You have to play the song almost perfectly or else you will lose. And it makes me happy too, ajain. :) --- MOTHER 3 (º< i have the solution to your problem just lisen carefu*firmware update* -Mamonsoti Djinn |

I wasn't referring to that post as much as some of the more whiny comments I have seen LR make. Like suggesting that RSG Hard is one of the hardest video game challenges he's seen, but he's going a bit over the top for someone who hasn't actually finished the game yet. Yoshi's Island DS is getting very good, and I'm not progressing much. The third boss in particular was very awesome, and I want to see more DS games use ideas like that... Well, it would be accurate to say that the boss fights in general, while easy, kick a lot of ass. YI boss fights have always been better than 2D Mario ones anyway. I'm not so compelled by the game that I have to rush through it like with NSMB, but that might just be because I don't have time. It is starting to get quite awesome, and this is only in the second world. Why is information about one of the babies in the game considered by some people to be a spoiler? Impy, explain to me how saying "RSG is one of the hardest video game challenges I've experienced" is whiny. It's not, I'm not going "Waaah this is too hard I can't do this I hate this", I'm merely commenting on the difficulty of the song, which is something about everyone can agree on. Just because you've beat it on Insane doesn't make it any less difficult. I don't see why I get targeting for something I'm not whining about. Way to call the kettle black. Yea, LR really knows how to overblow a situation. The Zelda thing is the only thing I can think of that I overblew, and I agree that wasn't mature of me. But I don't know why Impy is attacking me all of the sudden. His high and mighty attitude is starting to annoy me. His initial comment didn't bother me, but he's the one overblowing this situation. I'm also totally against the idea of Disney Meteos. Part of Meteos's charm was all of the weird planets and quirky aliens. Disney... it kinda takes the fun out of it. Plus, I have a feeling the "book" style would be cumbersome and give me cramps, and the lack of any real gameplay additions (other than horizontal moving. Does anyone else think the music after a level in SF64 sounds a lot like the music at the very end of the credits in OoT? With the bell chiming noise and everything. I didn't make this connection, though I'm not too surprised. I believe Kondo did SF64's main theme and some of the transition music such as that track, and the map screen. The stage music is very subdued compared to the original, though fits the cinematic nature of the game perfectly. I probably haven't listened to the original's soundtrack enough, however. Also, SF64's second boss theme (used for the alternate Corneria boss and others), along with the alarm noise when you're low on health, send chills down my spine. --- The Scientist knows.
