Alissa:

Do you think Bruce Willis could kick Vin Diesel's ass?

1,000 times over. He could also defeat him in a crappy action movie one-liner contest about 50 times over. Although "Yipee-ki-ay, (expletive)" is the greatest movie line ever.

I just remembered the commercials for Rugrats go Wild. Change that to 500 times over.

EruptionBlade:

Is George Clooney the best looking man in a Batman suit, or what?

No, that goes to Adam West. He didn't need super bat-rubber to enhance his buttocks.

Was Polas also disappointed by tonight's Hell in the Cell match (and not expecting Mick Foley to be there)?

Was I the only one expecting Henry and Phineous Godwinn to show up during Bishcoff and Austin's pig sty match?

Quid:

I didn't order the PPV (see previous page), but I'll assume that since Nash was involved, that the HIAC seemed like an hour and a half. Although the reports I've read say it was a lot better than expected.

Was I the only one expecting Henry and Phineous Godwinn to show up during Bishcoff and Austin's pig sty match?

That's the first thing I thought of when I read that, Henry O. vs. HHH in the hog pen match. And I'm pretty sure they put that on PPV too. Yeesh. On a semi-related note, I was watching lucha libre on Galavision early today, and there were four luchadores dressed up like KISS. Funniest thing since the KISS Demon, and not quite as sad.

Probably not. You can check Stuff for Polas for in-depth first impressions of Transmission, but despite its straightforwardness in platforming, it's very difficult from the get-go and there are some complex elements. If you're just getting into the series, I suggest starting with Megaman 1, or Megaman 2, which was the template for all future Megaman games.

Besides being better than all other topics anyway, all of my topics are coated in irresistible Polas juice.

Habnot:

Does Polas feel that any in-depth discussion of a book is worthless due to the author probably not thinking so deep?

In-depth discussion is worth whatever you get out of it, not the creator.

Quagmire or Joe?

Joe is cool, but you can't beat Quagmire. All, right. </smooth>

Chris or Megan?

The two least funny characters, I'll go with Chris because he's sometimes funny.

Stewie with a hat or Stewie without a hat?

Stewie in his sailor suit.

No more pointless than anything else in this topic, although the best you'd get in most cases is a completion of the reference with added Polas wit, like the last one.

All will be well with The Boss if the Yankees win the upcoming series with the Mets. If you don't believe me, he cancelled today's game early so he could set the rotation of Pettite, Mussina and Wells for the 3 games with the Mets. George likes making the Mets look second rate, even though he doesn't really need much help.

Then bring her over to your place, and two 6-packs and a Val Kilmer movie later, everything will be fine.

Who is the best adult film star in your opinion?

I don't know if DL asked this here or somewhere else, but damned if I'm gonna check. The answer is Ron Jeremy, still going in I believe his fifth decade.

If you could go re-animate any dead rock star, who would it be?

The guy in A-Ha's "Take on Me" video, those pencil sketches could definitely stand to be re-animated.

RockMFR 5:

You're excused, but that's two strikes.

Which Battle Network game was the best?

I'll let you know after I get BN3 next week. So far, 1 is better to begin with but 2 is better overall.

Risky:

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Well, this one's right up there with "what would YOU do for a Klondike Bar?". The answer is chicken, they were spawned from the now extinct Chickits and Lickens.

Angelic Panther:

Will you destroy the returning friend test fad?

I could, or I could allow you all to wallow in your own crapulence for awhile. It's really a judgment call based on how much I get annoyed.

In Megaman Network Transmission, is there any way to get a choice from more than 5 battle chips, without having to wait for the blue meter at the top to refill while being armed with only your weak little blaster?

In your opinion, which was better: Megaman X6 or Megaman NT? Those are the only two that I have played.

Are you thoroughly excited for Megaman X7?

Moo Cow:

Ah, good questions.

In Megaman Network Transmission, is there any way to get a choice from more than 5 battle chips, without having to wait for the blue meter at the top to refill while being armed with only your weak little blaster?

Sadly, no, that's my main complaint with the game. Now, you can purchase or find FastGauge or FullCust subchips that make things less painful, and you can collect PowerUps that make your blaster not so weak. Unfortunately, this doesn't help you much at the beginning of the game, so you're kinda screwed. Sorry.

Oh, but in case you didn't know, for every battle chip you don't select from the original 5, you'll have one more to pick from when the meter fills up. So if you only select 3 chips to use when you enter a level, you'll be able to pick from a field of 7 when you fill up, and so on.

In your opinion, which was better: Megaman X6 or Megaman NT? Those are the only two that I have played.

That's tough because they're two different series, and I'm fresh off of NT so my opinion may be swayed. Although I liked it myself, a lot of people consider X6 to be a weak point in that series, so maybe you should try some of the older ones.

Are you thoroughly excited for Megaman X7?

Moreso with each new update.

Staying on the topic of MMNT...

Is this game supposed to slowly become progressively easier? The first two bosses, I found, were a serious pain in the rear.

Also, when you press Z to change battle chips, is there any way to keep some of your current ones and replace certain others? From what I saw from skimming through the manual, they didn't go too horribly in-depth on this subject.

Moo Cow:

A lot of people are in your boat due to how difficult the game is early. Luckily, I didn't have too much trouble due to my advanced Polas skills, but FireMan and especially GutsMan are admittedly very tough when you first face them. But yes, as you get better chips and stengthen Megaman with HPMemory, PowerUps, etc., things will let up a little, some of the later areas/bosses are tough, while some are pathetic, it's pretty mixed. Go to Yai's Garden as your next level if you haven't yet, or the Waterworks for the most pathetic boss in the game, provided you can reach him.

Also, when you press Z to change battle chips, is there any way to keep some of your current ones and replace certain others? From what I saw from skimming through the manual, they didn't go too horribly in-depth on this subject.

Kind of. Any chip you don't select will be available to you at next selection, along with replacements or the ones you did select. Also, you can make one chip your default chip by highlighting it in the Folder menu and pressing Z, which means it'll appear every time you select chips till it runs out. The catch is that the chip's memory must be less or equal to that of your folder's memory.

Eh, yeah. I made Cannon my default, since it's pretty much the only chip that I would be able to abuse. All my other ones don't have nearly as many in stock.

Which do you prefer - Megaman's new look, or his classic, more robotic-like one?

I suppose you wouldn't care, but did you realize that yesterday was my birthday? Of course, I still had to pay for NT myself. Ugh.

Here's another one. Let me give you a little info before we go onto the question, though.

We're dealing with NT's PowerUps here. Attack and Speed are on level 2 (That is, they both have two bars by them. I've only actually put one PowerUp to each of them.) and Charge is on level 1. I've experimented by putting my extra one on Charge, but it takes so damn long to actually get the thing going that it's more of a bother than an aid. I put it on Attack as well, but it wasn't really that much better.

Now, which one would you say is the most important to max out?
